Getting started

Installing the app

QS Pilot is finishing App Store review. To get notified the moment it lands — and start your 30-day free trial — email [email protected]. Android is on the way.

The first five minutes

  1. Sign up with email, Apple or Google.
  2. Add your company name and logo — they go on every quote PDF.
  3. Tap New Job, drop a site photo or a WhatsApp message in, and let the AI draft the quote.
  4. Check the numbers. Tweak the rates. Send the PDF.

Do I need a quantity surveyor to use it?

No. QS Pilot is built for builders who don't have a QS. The AI does the technical side — you just confirm the numbers make sense.

Quotes

How do I make a quote?

From the home screen, tap New Job. Add whatever you've got — photos of the site with measurements typed in, documents shared from email or WhatsApp (PDFs, drawings, specs), or just type a description of what's needed. The AI turns it into a quote draft. You review and send.

Can I edit the AI's numbers?

Always. Every line is editable. Change the rate, the quantity, the description, add or remove items. The total recalculates instantly.

How do I protect my profit margin?

QS Pilot uses a true-margin formula — set your target margin and the quote price is calculated to hit it. As you track costs during the job, the Final Account screen shows you whether you're still on target or slipping. You'll see the risk before it bites.

Can I version or restore a quote?

Yes. Every time you edit a sent quote, QS Pilot keeps the previous version. You can open the version history on any quote and restore an earlier one with a tap.

How do I send a quote to a client?

Tap Send on the quote screen. QS Pilot generates a branded PDF with your company letterhead. Share it by email, WhatsApp, AirDrop or any app on your phone. The client gets a clean PDF; you keep the source data.

Costs and Final Account

How do I track costs against a job?

Take a photo of the invoice. The AI reads the merchant, total and line items, and lets you allocate the cost to the right job and trade category. One tap to confirm and it's logged.

Labour, materials and plant splits

For rates that don't come pre-split, QS Pilot infers a sensible labour / materials / plant split automatically. You can override it any time from the rate editor.

Exporting my data

Open any project's Final Account and tap Export. You can share it as PDF (for the client) or CSV (for your accountant).

Subscription and billing

How much does it cost?

Current pricing is shown in the app and on our pricing page. Pay monthly or yearly, cancel any time.

Where do I manage my subscription?

I was charged and I shouldn't have been

Email [email protected] with your account email and the date of the charge and we'll sort it.

Can I get a refund?

Apple handles refunds for App Store subscriptions — use reportaproblem.apple.com. For Stripe billing, email us and we'll look at each case individually.

Account and data

How do I delete my account?

Open the app → Settings → Your Account → Delete Account. This removes your profile, projects, quotes, costs and any stored photos from our systems within 30 days. It's automated — no email required.

What happens to my data after I delete my account?

Your personal and job data is permanently deleted within 30 days. We keep basic billing records longer where UK tax law requires.

How do I download my data?

Final Accounts can be exported as PDF or CSV from inside any project. If you want a complete export of everything in your account in one go, email [email protected] and we'll put it together.

Is my data safe?

Yes. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Your data is stored in Supabase's EU region (Ireland). We never share it with advertisers, and AI providers don't train on your content. Full detail in the Privacy Policy.
